Final finally ended. It's party time. Dongdong, Eric came visiting my place. We decided to play monopoly
Having some drink while playing game with close friends was so comfortable. Pity that I was the first one to claim the bankrupt but it's really fun. Dongdong won the game at last. He got lot of hotels and houses.
Muffin ...... What was she doing? Drinking water and watching us to play.
Good good. I could have some break before the summer school. Tomorrow, Trista and I will go to london for a week. YEAH, London baby!!! |

| Interesting when I actually worked on the other side of the counter in Kerrisdale camera. The store, which I was so familiared
with, suddenly became bigger and more complicated. Lot of details and procedures that I need to learn. Lot of cameras I could try. It's really really fun.... Last night, Trista showed me a website which allowed you to customize the character from the South Park.
This is what Trista made. hee hee.. I like it. :) I will definitely go play with the web after my finals. |

Final exams are in 2 days. My life belongs to the library.
I went to study at main library with Trista today. We both like there, since Korner is too stifling. We met Eric there. He was working on his last exam as well. This is his last term and wish he could have a good finishing. I just realized that after this summer, lot of friends will leave Vancouver. It's sad. :( However, I can't wait to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the golf court...... |

Finally, Apple has laid down a concrete release date( 29th Apr ) for its most hotly anticipated operating system ever,
the Mac OS X Tiger. I do like Mac system's user interface. And lot
of friends recommend Mac over PC. It looks cute and you don't need to worry about the virus. Especially, as a laptop, it has
a very reasonable price.
Maybe in the future, I will buy one for Trista. However, without any serious hands-on experience, I will stick with the IBM PC machine. I read a preview about Microsoft's longhorn long time ago and I was very exciting at that time.
But, after almost 2 years, having a stable operating system is my only expectation. Mom will leave Vancouver soon. So, I will have an extra desktop to try something new. Maybe it's time to play around the linux. Days in Calgary is good, simple and straight forward. We study at the library in the daytime and packing at night. Tomorrow, we will drive through the Rockies again. 1000KM mountain highway is not easy. Last time, it took us almost 12 hrs. So....how to survive the boring highway becomes a crucial question. Our only hope laid on Trista's ipod. We bought a car charger and a convertor to play ipod with car stereo and they are expensive.
Anyway, I am sure that we gonna have some fun tomorrow. |

| Well, well, well...... This is the way it works. 11:00am, I was doing an interview with the manager of Kerrisdale camera store in Richmond for a part time job position. 1:15pm, I was holding my boarding pass, walking toward the gate A4 in Vancouver airport. The flight was at 2pm. I got plenty of time to fool around.
So, $2.5 bucks for a glass of coke, I found myself sitting in the bar near the boarding gate. It's a big cup and took me almost 20 mins to finish. The tv in the bar was playing NBA highlight for yesterday's games. And it's boring.
4:30pm, I was in Trista's volvo s70, heading toward TNT surper market to buy food. 6:00pm (Calgary time), I am here, in the library at University of Calgary, updating my blog. And I know I will study the game thoery in 30 mins...... The guy on my right hand side is pretty annoying. He's been calling someone in cell for 20+ mins and he laughs alot loudly and it sounds like hyena. The girl on my left hand side is trying to adjust the height of her chair. Apparently, she doesn't have enough weight to push it down. 6:18pm (Calgary time), the guy on my right left and the girl on the left is switching to my right hand side. 6:30pm (Calgary time), time for game theory => DOMINANT STRATEGY. Trista is in her class....I am missing her. |

| I checked out some news about Hannover's Cebit 2005. This is the type of exhibition where you can find out the trend of the leading technologies in the world. This year, the biggest surprise was brought by Samsung for announcing its newest cell phones,
V770, P860, Z130 etc. The following picture is the V770, the first 7-magapixel camera phone in the world, with its removable camera lens. A 7 maga-pixel camera phone? If you shoot under the maximum resolution, you need almost 10 magabyte to store your file in the resolution of 3276 x 2252. And you can print out as big as 11inch x 7 inch in 300 DPI and 18inch x 12inch in 180DPI.
It's cool, isn't it? It weights 180g (as heavy as a 60G Ipod photo) and provides both auto/manual exposures, plus 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. I don't know how much this baby could cost, but I am sure there are lot of people who wanna get it badly. |

| I am so happy. Today's Ubyssey paper has 2 pages filled with my photo. It's T-birds year review with my bastketball, baseball
and volleyball photos. ......Excellent!! ......Fabulous! ......of course, I took 20 copies back home.
I read about Frank Jackson from a photography magazine. A glance at his website intrigued me futher. I like those photos in the "expanded" section. I love his work. His pictures are alive. It's like someone suddenly turn off the volume of the outside world, and all you have to do is watching the "show" in the mute mode.
Isn't it wonderful when someone could photography the sound? These pictures are all taken by Hasselblad XpanII with 24mm x 65mm film in panoramic format.
I looked up the camera from the internet. The result shocked me. The more I read, the more I want to have it. Well, someday, I know I will. |

| .......... Daylight I must wait for the sunrise I must think of a new life And I musn't give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a memory too And a new day will begin Touch me It's so easy to leave me All alone with the memory Of my days in the sun If you touch me You'll understand what happiness is Look A new day has begun
Tonight, I went to watch the musical "Cats". I didn't watch anything alone for awhile. Although Mom and Trista were not with me, I found myself enjoying it very much. The show was good, thoroughly entertaining and it's a typical example of what theater has to offer. The song "memory" was even better. I like its poem-like lyric very much. After going back home, I checked out the oringinal script written by T.S Eliot, the Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. The chapter talking about the naming of cats is so intriguing. If there really are three names for a cat. What's Muffin's 3rd name? I wonder! |

Hoo hoo, Adobe finally released its new photoshop cs2. Unbelievable, there are lot of new features in this baby.
Checking out these features from dpreview.com, I was amazed by the powerful new CS2 Spot Healing Brush, the Image Warp function, the new Smart Sharpen tool and the Optical lens Correction option. Adobe just makes our lives easier. I couldn't wait to try the cs2, though Photoshop cs is a wonderful image/photo editing tool. |

What a big sunny day. After handing in my photo to Ubyssey, I drove around the campus and decided to walk along
UBC's no.6 beach, the nude paradise. There were lot of students, reading books or talking with each other. Surprisingly,
I didn't feel any awkward when passing through those naked young girls/boys. Everything was so natural and comfortable.
It would be nice to enjoy the sunshine at this beach in the summer time. I will go back here again for sure! Well, this is the typical Vancouver scene: houses with green trees under the snow mountain.
Summer is coming............... I can't wait for it. I never wrote anything about politics. But after reading this article, I want to post it out. Please click the title to read the article.
Well, I have nothing to say but presenting these links: Rape in Nanjing, The Nanjing "Murder Race". And a fact that, during the massacre in Nanjing, on December 13 1937, as many as over 300 THOUSANDS Chinese were brutally murdered, many of whom were defenselss civilians. Shame on him. It's not right to make revenge on Japanese civilians. But what Japanese army did shouldn't be forgotten or forgiven. |

| Happy Birthday brother Yang. :)
Well, April 1st, what a great day. I upgraded my shaw high speed internet to shaw extreme. With only 10 bucks extra cost, I could make the connection speed up to 5 times faster than the previous speed, with 50GB ( compared with 20GB before) per month download/upload space. However, after hock up with the new moden, neither the hub or the router could get IP address. It took me long time to fix the problem. Anyway, I was surprised by the speed testing result from CNET. The new service gave me 4142 Kbps which is faster than T1 connection.
It's 4am already. I am tired.................... |
