My 2nd book "The Spring Dance" is out by now. :)
Although the printing quality is not as good as I expected, I am happy!
So, this is the end of January 2008. It's a good start.

By then I knew that everything good and bad left an emptiness when it stopped.
But if it was bad, the emptiness filled up by itself.
If it was good, you could only fill it by finding something better.
and sadly I am back in Beijing.

I got in a coffee shop called "4C". The Latte there is good though is kind of expensive.
I also bought a bottle of Bacardi white rum to keep myself warm and emotional. :)
What's more, I started to feel Beijing more or less like a battle ground. No life there, it's all business.
Once you get out of it. Everything is just suddenly turnning great. Even the snow could cheer me up.
I brought Heminway's "A Moveable Feast" with me. Right pick I would say.
Man, I need travel more!!!!

p.s: caught a cold again. DAMN!
It's freaking cold inside out. Traffic jamed to the worst degree.
Flights have been canceled all day long but I am survived with the highest spirit ever.

Although the snow fucked up almost everything, it's just so pretty out there.
And I am lucky to witness the heaviest snow storm in this area since 1983.
So exciting!

The funeral took a whole day. I am tired, mentally and physically.

Sunday belongs to computer. I finally organized another 20GB of music from my laptop.
Sort them all out and transfered them into my mac tower. Speaking of Apple, the new Macbook Air is soooooo HOT.
Pity that it's not professional line of product which doesn't attract me, as a heave computer user, too much .
Anyway, I also updated april28th, as you can see now. What's more, I backup design files from my book "The Spring Dance",
also processed nearly 10G of images from the dance contest in ChengDu.
I am thinking of getting out of town for a week. I want drive, but it's snowing everywhere.
Kanye West is not bad.
When I was in Ubyssey News Paper, everyday, Michelle and I worked with C.M.Y.K and till today I finally saw the 4 color printing machine.
People told me that this baby would cost around 1 million dollars. Phew...... better use Canon!

I spent a whole day there and learned a lot of new stuff from the experienced worker.
It's really interesting to learn each little step in the industrial process.

Here is the thing. No matter where you come from, as long as you stay in the same city long enough,
you start to meet all your friends from around the world.
Like tonight, I met up with Priss, my good friend from Vancouver.
She is on her business trip and we had, or should be, I had an unforgettable chat with her.
Talking with her could make me feel normal and safe. Thank GOD!
I am so happy to catch up with old friend!!!!! It's just wonderful!

Afternoon, I went to the film making company to print out my book film. This is the process right before the final print.
Every single page will be print into 4 different films under each single color of C.Y.M,K.
so tomorrow is the big day that I will see my book sample!
This is the problem I have here. It's really hard to find a good quality stuff with reasonable price.
I mean, I don't need a F.A Porsche designed harddrive. All I need is just a simple firewire mobile HD.
Anyway ...... it's all good as long as it is stable.

I'll see how Lacie could do compare with my fav. Western Digital.
If everything goes under my expectation, sooner this year I would need a Xserver RAID from Apple.
2.5 Tb is still not enough. I am going to have a harddrive space crisis soon.

Suffering for more than 10 months, survived from death ten thousand times,
working insanely creazy day by day, I finally finish all works for my 2nd book.
I spend the whole weekend doing nothing but wrap up everything and make it ready to be printed next monday.
All works was done by myself, from photos to words, from deisgn to implementation.
I cry in tears and I will cry more when I see this baby come out.

Now, I've done the cover. the first one will be the final version.
This is one of the longest journey I've ever made.
It is a suggestion letter about how people should wear protection glasses when playing firework during Spring Festival season.
According to statistics, there are a huge numbers of accidents happened during the holiday season by playing fireworks.
Most of them caused a direct damage to human eyes. What's more, children between age 3 to 15 became the majority.
I think, people should be aware of it and wear a protection glasses, for their own good.

Anyway, evening time, I went to Bookworm, my fav. coffee in town, to attend an open forum about "Why there is no real middle class in China."
Interesting question though, I enjoyed it alot.

Afterward, I went to Beijing International Hotel, spent a night to fulfill my longing dream.
That night in room 1918 was surreal but nice, or should I say, too nice to be true.

my new year resolutions:
for all my alived friends, I love you all!
I was sick, terribly sick from the last week of 2007 and just when I started to feel better, one of my best friend from highschool died.
January 4th, 3am in the morning, he was drunk and was driving.
And my heart was broken.
I still can't believe that it acctually happened. I alwasy had this weird feeling that death is far away from my life, at least now.
I think I am wrong.
sigh, I miss him.
