Re-incarnate
January 16th, 2011 | Sunday

Lucky to visit three Rinpoches within a day in QingHai. The oldest one is in his 90s. They are kind and full of wisdom.
I spend some time photographied and interviewed with one of the re-incarnate lamas. Interesting to talk with him.
Another day in QingHai, I will then heading to XinJiang province followed by a trip in Tibet. Long way to go ......

I watched the Asian Cup, the soccer match. Team China made a strong performenece. I wish they could play better and better.

Lakeside, everyday
January 15th, 2011 | Saturday

I spend lot of time lately on the new studio. It's just so empty and it looks so raw.
Somehow I really enjoy it.
Tomorrow, I will take off one once again for the "dawning" project 10 days? well, can't wait to get back.
I have this passion to use the studio, to photography whatever is in my mind.

New day
January 14th, 2011 | Friday

Few things happened:
1. Sold my Canon EF 85mm F1.2 lens so that I could pay for my studio rental.
2. Enjoy the sunshine in my office.
3. Unpacking, cleaning, organizing my new studio, Lakeside #2.
4. Blogging my life as what I used to do.
5. Packing, for the next trip to Tibet.
6. Picking up my developed film and contact sheet from Mr.Zhang Shu.

#2 Lakeside, Studio
January 13th, 2011 | Thursday

Everysince the underground studio in Freedom tower, I've been longing to have one ON the ground where sunlight could find me.
Thank for the water leaking issue and the never ending process from the insurance company, I now finally find myself in a new studio located in Beijing's near suburban. It's an art area where gathered painters, musicians and photographers.
It took me a full day to move stuff. The new studio is right beside a lake and I was told that in the spring and summer time, it's surrounded by flowers. It's a 106 sq.meters for the space with 8 meters high ceiling. Simple without any decoration, just like what I expected. I am totally thrilled ......

New one
January 12th, 2011 | Wednesday

Bought myself a Canon G12.

Sound of music
January 11th, 2011 | 23:45

I went to China Conservatory to help Mr. PengKangLiang photography his DVD/CD album cover.
It was a relaxed two-hour session. We had a piano setup in one studio and most of the images were taken with it.
After the shooting, we went down to a nearby coffee and had a nice little chat about music, art and life.
He is on his trip to Japan, singing in an opera show. Good luck sir!

One more trip
January 10th, 2011 | 13:15

One more trip left to finish my current art project "The dawning of a new day".
Two and half weeks, I will spend days and nights in the north west region of China, Tibet, XinJiang, QingHai etc.
To be frank, I am tired of travel, packing, unpacking. The only thing to cheer me up is at the end of this trip,
I will be one step closer to the finishing line. Finally, the final is coming......

Wooloo Wooloo
January 4th, 2011 | 23:40

Another short stay in HK, same hotel, same story. Gladly Lawrence is in HK.
We had a drink together in WoolooWooloo, a trendy bar on the top floor of "The One" mall. Nice view out there.

Re - Start
January 1st, 2011 | 08:20

I've been traveling intensively in the past few months, trying my best to finish the current photographic project.
Gladly, there is only one last trip ahead of me, going to Tibet, inner-Mongolia and surrounding areas.
Although it's tired and sometime frustrated, I had to say that I enjoyed my way of travel but I did, most of the time, feel home sick.
So, after the trip in the forzen Northern East part of China and being sicked, I am here in my home with my wife and friends,
to celbebrate the new year and to celebrate the warmth of friendship!
How wonderful to stay at home.

I re-do part of my blog and realized that I didn't touch it for 2-month already. I think it's a good thing.
What's the point to blog when I can't write what I truely feel or see?

Anyway, year 2010 passed. Wish you a wonderful 2011!
