| I took flight to Calgary last night. Trista and I drove her car back together today from Calgary to Vancouver. The scenery along the road was fantastic. But the driving condition wasn't as good as the view.
Despite the tough condition, we had had a lot of fun during the trip.
Check out here for the complete journey. |

Year 2005, one of my biggest regret was missing the concert of Keith Jarrett in New York City.
It wasn't because I didn't have enough money to get the ticket and fly to NYC to watch the show. It was
one of the Ubyssey production day. I couldn't or should not go away from the office.
Year 2006, one second before I clicked the confirm buttom to purchase Keith Jarrett solo concert in Walt Disney Concert Hall at LA, I realized that the date March 13th is Monday. Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another production day. WHY????????? |

| Trista went back Calgary tonight. Suddenly, the apartment is quiet again. Muffin is still sleeping on the bed. I got 4 dvds from Rogers and plan to wath them all
during the weekend. I just want to relax, doing nothing but reading, watching dvd and of course listening the music. Jellyfish, shooting at Vancouver Aquarium Center
Yesterday was a long long long day to me. I got up around 7am, meeting Sarah at 9 somewhere close to UBC to shoot feature photo and then driving to Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Center photographing the Rockfish. Afternoon belonged to a nonstop photo editing session. 7pm, I went to Lord Byng Secondary School with Kellan to photography the play "Laramie Project". Dinner at 10pm. Ubyssey production ran untill 00:30. Home at 1:30am While other editors were partying at SUB, I drove back to the office at night, picking up the new issue. It's pretty! I like the feature page alot. Michelle did a great job on it, simple but elegant.
Due to my unforgettable stupidity, april28th.com may be shut down from 14th January for couple of days or weeks. I will do my best to get this baby back! Boo Max!!! |

| It is a busy Sunday!! Trista got a gift from one of her best friends, Ti. It's a 'cute' little hippo.
Now, with the arrival of this little evil Hippo, Muffin and I are no longer as hot as before. SIGH!!!! #_#!!
"Muffin, let's go home. Let's go back to where we were from. Let's go far away from this cruel reality!!!" "Damn Trista, look at us, we are leaving!!!!!!!!!!" Later tonight, we went to UBC's Chan center to attend the speech from Paul Rusesabagina, the actual hero in the movie "Hotel Rwanda" or say the victim from the genocide in Rwanda who also saved thousands of lives.
Despite the fact that Trista was falling in sleep for almost 30 mins, the speech was good. Not as great as I expected but it's good to actually see this guy in person.
I got some nice shots for my portfolio and Ubyssey's new issue. |

I can shoot this.
I can shoot this even better.
Finally, I could see the result from all the hardwork that I've done. My basketball shooting skill is getting on the right track. The photo turns out better and better. Both UBC women and men's basketball teams made the victory over Lethbridge tonight. |

7 bucks for a lunch. 42 bucks per week. 168 bucks per month. Around 2000 bucks per year. I figure
out that I need the 2000 bucks and it's easy to save if I cook for lunch most of the time. Therefore, one of my
new year resolution is cooking my lunch.
Today, I spend 60 bucks, using 6 sensor swabs to clean the CMOS sensor on my 1D MarkII N. It's my first time touching the sensor. :0 Exciting!!!
By the way, blower sucks. It could do nothing but redistributed the dust. If you are lucky, you get the dust off, otherwise, you could end up with more dusts on the sensor. It gonna be a busy weekend to me. 6 sports games in two nights plus a news event about Paul Rusesabagina, the actual guy from hotel Rwanda. |

| " Sometime fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjust. Over and over you play this out ...... This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn't get in, and walk through it, step by step. There's no sun there, no moon, no deirection, no sense of time. ...... Once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what the storm's all about. ...... " Haruki Murakami - "Kafka on the shore" |

Not too much to say but some photos. Took this photo with Trista on 27th Dec 2005 before going to Megan's party.
Philippe and Katrina hosted a wonderful dinner party tonight featuring a lot of homemade delicious dishes and desserts. (Though Trista and I were the only guests).
Uh, I miss the chicken wing!!! By the way, Happy New Year!!! |
