Another Weeks of Departure July 31th, 2010 | 17:31
Andrea and I will be on a photographic trip in the next 15 days. We will go to Wen Zhou first, then flight to Nanjing City, driving east to NanTong and get back NJ. Then, there will be NingBo, HeFei, ZhouShan, WuZhen .... I plan to interview and photography at least 20 people. We will see. I am thinking about leaving all Canons at home and only shoot film with leica on the way. To be honest, I enjoy film more and more. And I need a 2nd leica to shoot color. That camera just gave everything I need. I am enjoying my life with family, parents, Andrea, Muffin. They are just so sweet. See you guys in two weeks with tones of photos ^.^!! I was on a photo shoot for my upcoming project "Resume" in Beijing's suburb and I met JianYi at his tattoo studio. After 40 mins interview about his experience, I photographied him half naked. Well how to define him? He is titled as professional painter, book author, tattoo maker, artist and professor at university. Anyway, check out his website at www.jian1.com. Mrs. Li Yue got me a cool gift today. It's a Peony MD-1 120 film camera. According to the series number, it's made in 1984 in China. I found its user manual online and also some sample photos taken by a flickr photographer. I will clean this baby up and do some testing on the shutter speed. I really hope it works well. Otherwise, there is no place to have it repaired. Finally, instead of a 503CW, I got my first ever 120 film camera. ALL good to use!!! YEAH!!! New Studio Location July 7th, 2010 | 14:07
Thank you Dong MingFei for letting me use your space as my temporary studio location. I moved my major stuff to Hud De Hospital's 5th floor. There is a half empty storage room which I could use temporarily as my studio till the end of this year. I wish the water leaking issue could be fixed ASAP at freedom tower. In this case, I can move back and using my own space. Anyway, let's see what I can do with this space. ^_^ All photos copyright © Yinan Max Wang |
